P52 Photo Challenge - Snowstorm - Week 50

For the 50th week of the P52 Photo Challenge, the original theme was "Christmas Cards." I didn't have any pictures of Christmas cards for the week, so instead I focused on was the snowstorm that happened on Sunday-Monday, December 9-10th.

About 17 inches of snow fell over a period of two days. Needless to say it was a bit overwhelming in terms of the amount of snow, shoveling, and finding a place to push the snow so pathways and the driveway could be clear.

One of my favorite pictures from the snowstorm is of Olivia visiting Bailey and Hoss who were standing by gate near the driveway. Although they didn't seem to mind the snow, it was surprising that they continued to stay outside even though they had a warmer and drier place to be (the barn).

The snow was strongly coming down when we checked on the horses and spent some time with them. It was a memorable snowstorm...and one that will certainly stay around for awhile.

That photo would make a pretty Christmas card! I'm jealous of all the snow you guys got down there. ;)
Merry Christmas!
